Building Blocks for Institutional Transformation

Building Blocks by Prof. O. Mugenda, an accomplished academician, was the vice chancellor of Kenyatta University from March 2006–2016. Before that, she served at the same institution as the DVC (2002–2004). Dean of the School of Applied Human Sciences (1996–1999). She attended the University of Nairobi, where she earned a B.Ed. degree, and then proceeded to the USA, where she obtained her master’s degree. Later, she also earned a Ph.D. in family and consumer economics from IOWA University. While at the institution, she became well-grounded in statistics and research methods, and some years after graduation, she co-authored a popular book on the latter. She later earned an MBA degree from ESAMI.
